About Preemptively Prepared

Why

This tiny bit of the Internet is mostly for our own amusement.

This site, preemptivelyprepared.com, participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. This adds no cost to you. We do not need the money. We would rather you make a donation to a local charity you believe in. However, clicking through and making your Amazon purchases doesn’t cost you anything additional.

The money earned, if any, will be used to purchase items related to preparedness that we otherwise might not purchase. Essentially, it will be used to evaluate things we might not otherwise.

Motivation

A large portion of going down this road of sharing is because it seems like there is a lack of knowledge and sharing in the Internet related to the how-to part of preparedness. There are plenty of people trying to make a living selling stuff related to preparedness. There are even more people that are delusional in believing they are the best at something and wish to assert their greatness. Some even hope that others will affirm their grand delusions.

We are here to share what we have learned on our journeys. You may arrive at the same destination by taking a similar journey. Or you may end up with something completely different being found. Our belief is that sometimes just knowing what someone has found the answer not to be can save you immense effort. And time often changes what you’re looking for and periodically changes what you’ve found. In other words, most people have ever changing perspective and perceptions of the world around them. It is a part of learning.

The intent of this site is to share knowledge and the part of doing. It is still entirely an opinion. It is not about buying stuff, religion, or politics. It does not mean there will be none. Much of the stuff we buy in our day to day lives is directly related to knowledge we have in response to politics.

Perspective

This look at preparedness is from people that have never been destitute. That does not mean hardship has not been endured. It just means that homelessness or hunger has not been extensively experienced. Our belief is that the despair caused by true destituteness changes perspective significantly.

This experienced hardship has caused preemptive preparedness amongst us. If you have the means, resources, ability, and socioeconomic status then preparedness is essentially insurance. You “buy” the insurance you can afford adjusted for the risk you are willing to assume. For some, any insurance is too great to burden as compared to the risk. We happen to be in a position where time is the resource that is in least availability. This does not mean that the money is limitless, but within reason it is available for smart “insurance” purchases. So we are hedging with our time and other resources against the future.

The goal is to share what we have learned. If we are lucky maybe someone can show a perspective and provide a solution to a problem we have tried to solve.
